Fun Palace at St Mary in the Castle

St Mary in the Castle will be hosting a weekend of fun as the neoclassical church is transformed into a Fun Palace, or, more aptly, a Fun Castle!

Join artist John Murray for family events and workshops exploring themes from the 950th anniversary; in particular the Medieval Mosaic that will be hanging in the St Mary in the Castle Crypt for the duration of the festival.

Fun Palaces are part of an ongoing campaign for culture at the heart of every community, with participation led by, for and with local people. Fun Palaces are free, local, innovative, transformative and engaging. By creating them together, right where we live, we can make a huge shout for culture at the heart of all our communities.

Visit the St Mary in the Castle website for the full list of activities.
