Sir David Hare in Conversation

Sir David Hare in Conversation with Kathryn Flett

ROOT 1066 Patron, Sir David Hare, is one of Britain's best-known and internationally most performed playwrights. His plays for the stage include Skylight, Plenty, Racing Demon and Amy's View. As a screenwriter, he has been twice nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Academy Awards - for The Hours and The Reader.

Last year his memoir The Blue Touch Paper was published, which gives an insight into his Sussex youth - he was born in St Leonards-on-Sea and then moved to neighbouring Bexhill. He will be talking about the memoir and his work with writer and journalist Kathryn Flett.
