The Stables Theatre

The Stables Theatre is a cherished institution within Hastings. It is entirely run by volunteers, and in its lifetime has hosted names such as Sir Ian Mckellen.

The Stables stages a wide range of work: from amateur to professional, local to national. It is renowned for its work within the community (particularly its youth theatre) – and is conveniently situated at The Bourne. Recent productions include Blithe Spirit, My Boy Jack and A Christmas Carol.

The accompanying art gallery is astonishingly varied. Local artists have a platform to showcase their work, and exhibitions always ensure a quality experience.

The Stables offer guided tours of the building, as well as great prices on membership. See the website for more details.
